Curriculum Features

CES helps students understand themselves, develop healthy interpersonal relationships, master life skills and ways to deal with bad behaviors to promote a healthy life. The course also helps students understand the operation and interrelationships of local, national and global economic activities and social systems, and understand that the development of Hong Kong and our country complements each other. In addition, through classroom activities, students learn about national and local socio-economic development and achievements, as well as the country’s participation in international affairs, and think about the roles they can play in the future.

Life-wide Learning

The course encourages students to participate in diverse learning activities inside and outside the classroom, allowing them to continuously broaden their horizons, understand and respect different people and nurture positive values, get along with others in a non-judgmental and empathetic manner, practice good behavior, and build a caring, diverse and inclusive society.

External Collaborations

The Education Bureau provides supporting teaching materials, covering the necessary learning content in the personal, social and humanities education learning areas, and supports schools in teaching citizenship, economics and society courses. The teaching materials provide diversified learning activities for students to understand concepts, develop skills and cultivate correct values ​​and attitudes.
