Life-wide Learning
Our department actively encourages students to participate in relevant extracurricular activities and competitions, on one hand to understand the latest technological developments and master different skills to keep up with social trends; on the other hand, it also allows students to independently learn about various challenges in life through hands-on learning and give full play to their creativity in problem-solving. Students in senior forms will also obtain industry-related certifications such as Microsoft AI900 which equip participants with fundamental AI concepts like Machine Learning and Deep Learning; The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification confirms that students can comprehensively utilize various tools within Microsoft Office, equipping them for the workplace at an early stage. Our students also achieved excellent results in the school’s MOS competition, winning silver and bronze awards.
Our senior secondary ICT students achieved outstanding results in the Microsoft Office Specialist Championship.
11 students from our school were awarded silver and bronze medals in the Youth IT Ambassador Award (YITAA).
External Collaborations
Our school maintains close cooperation with different universities and private organizations to guide students in understanding the knowledge of our subject and industry developments. For example, collaborating with Nintendo to hold courses for students to learn game programming concepts through the Nintendo Switch; collaborating with Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) to design courses introducing design thinking concepts through different tools, guiding students to analyze pain points from a human-centered perspective and utilize technology to design different solutions for social innovation. Through external cooperation, students are able to step out of the framework of school to apply classroom knowledge to social aspects.
