School-based Curriculum

Christ is the Foundation of True Light!

A hundred years ago, the missionaries came to China to preach and Ms. Harriet Noyes, the school founder, founded True Light School. The curriculum leverages the life testimonies of the missionaries in our classes, assemblies and different activities, which not only allowed our students to realize our school’s motto and mission, but also helped them understand the core value and significance of the qualities of True Light Girls.

The Chemistry Department also arranges various extracurricular learning activities, such as participating in external science competitions and workshops, to help students establish a solid knowledge foundation and skills in the field of chemistry, and to experience the wide application of chemical knowledge in daily life. We also collaborate with universities to organize lectures, so that students can understand the development of chemistry and related technological fields, making them more competitive in their future careers.

Sharing the life stories of our school founder.

The “Cantonese Three-Character Classic” compiled by our school founder, was studied in the classes, which was also recited by the representatives of Form 1 students at the school anniversary.

The class went to the library to visit the Christian exhibition during Gospel Week and got to know about the school founder and other missionaries to China.

Life-wide Learning

External Collaborations

It is part of our mission to help our students achieve balanced development in various domains, namely moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, social and spiritual.  As such, our school has invited pastors and co-workers from many churches to become True Light’s gospel partners.  These partners come to the school to assist in gospel work and help students build a spiritual community life inside and outside of school.
