STEAM Education

STEAM Education

To align with the direction of innovative technology development, the government has been actively promoting STEAM education in recent years, using popularized, entertaining, and diversified approaches to let students engage with the five different elements of STEAM. Our school’s STEAM curriculum is also constantly being updated to keep pace with the times, allowing students to understand the latest technological developments.

Throughout the three years of junior secondary, students will be exposed to basic programming, using design thinking to understand the needs of different clients, and then inventing smart products through programming to solve the living difficulties of underprivileged groups. In this process, collaboration across different subject departments such as science, mathematics and visual arts allows students to approach from different angles, using knowledge to improve lives.

Beyond the curriculum, we encourage active participation in various STEAM-related courses and competitions. These opportunities, ranging from Switch game development, rocket car building to AI application courses, allow students to apply their knowledge, broaden their horizons, and cultivate innovative thinking.

To facilitate a dynamic learning environment, our school provides access to a diverse range of equipment. Depending on the specific needs of each subject, students can borrow iPads, Chromebooks, smartphones, cameras, video cameras, and more. To further encourage participation in competitions, we also offer resources such as micro:bits and 3D printers, empowering students to unleash their creativity and embrace active learning.
