Scholarships and Subsidies

The Scholarship and Subsidies aims to assist families in need of financial support as well as recognize students who have demonstrated exceptional performance in both academic and extracurricular areas. They are as follows:

Those who completed our school’s Form 6 and enrolled in local or foreign postsecondary institutions
Those who thrive in the classroom, behave well, and have a strong sense of service

Students who graduated from Form 6 at our school with excellent academic performance and good behavior are admitted to universities in Hong Kong.

Students who graduated from Form 6 at our school with outstanding academic performance and good behavior are admitted to universities in Hong Kong.

Our Form 6 graduates have achieved Level 332A in four subjects including Chinese, English, Mathematics and Citizenship and Social Development in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination and have obtained Level 5 in one or more subjects.

Help some students who are in financial need, from poor families or have special circumstances.

Students with Best Conduct
Students with Outstanding Academic Performance: first, second, and third place in each class in junior forms in the first and second term; first, second, and third place in each class in senior forms based on the scores of four core subjects in the first and second term.

The conduct is B+ or above, and all subjects are passed.
Nominated by teachers, elected by one person and one vote of all teachers.

To recommend students with the best service.
They are nominated by teachers and selected by all teachers with one vote.

Assist students with financial difficulties to provide living allowances, examination fees or student activity fees, and provide further education subsidies to fresh graduates.

Reward True Light students to study outside Hong Kong to broaden their horizons and enrich their learning experience.

Encourage students to strive for academic and moral improvement, and praise students who have made significant progress.

Scholarships for senior form students

Helps financially needy students to join extracurricular activities.

To assist students receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) or Student Financial Assistance Scheme subsidies.

Conduct at B or above, have good academic performance and actively participate in extracurricular activities.
Nominated by teachers and selected by the Alumni Association.
